Kuali Projects at UC Irvine

In July 2006 UC Irvine, along with other UC campuses, joined the Kuali Foundation as a Kuali Financial System partner. The Foundation manages a growing portfolio of enterprise software applications for colleges and universities, such as Kuali Financial System (KFS), Kuali Coeus (KC), and Kuali Student (KS).

The UCI Kuali Project Team is working on evaluating, introducing, and building Kuali solutions at UCI.

In January 2009, UC Irvine‘s Office of Research, Administrative & Business Services, and Office of Information Technology partnered to implement the Kuali Coeus Research Administration System (proposal, budget development and submission), which will streamline and convert the current paper-based grant proposal submission process at UCI.

The Project Team is also assessing KFS and exploring the feasibility of a new financial system, including Chart of Accounts. The Project Team and Chart of Accounts Work Group are working on developing a recommendation for a new UCI Chart of Accounts.
